An SATB work inspired by the Psalms of David and Asaph using the NIV translation. This transparent, subdued and plaintive piece is written in a traditional psalm style with a section of lamentation, a short reflective instrumental interlude and a section of praise. The text draws attention to the human ills of living in this world and is resolved with joy that, for all the worldly diversions and distractions, we are loved.
